Weekends have never rocked like this!

For the millions of young people who dream of turning their air guitar into a real guitar and their pens into drum sticks, their dream can come true as Berkshire gets rock band taster sessions.

The Berkshire Maestros Rock School Experience workshops got off to a flying start, as the first session saw youngsters being turned into rock stars in just 4 hours! After an energetic taster session on electric and bass guitars, drums and vocals, the group was taught a rock song on the various instruments and split into two bands. For the finale each band performed the song, and wowed parents and family with their fantastic performances. It was a massive achievement as not only had the children never heard the song before but it was the first time most of them had ever picked-up an instrument.

Berkshire Maestros Rock School Experience is a new initiative aimed at 11 to 18 year olds who could be complete beginners, and may never have picked up an instrument before. There's a lot of emphasis on classical music in schools but often it's the chance to get your hands on an electric guitar and make some noise that really appeals. During the sessions the children are really encouraged to develop rock star poses, and even those who are left terrified by the idea of picking up an instrument will find they have nothing to worry about, and could potentially discover hidden talent! This is fun, educational, and a great non-classical way to get into music.

New package options for Xmas bookings

Rock School Experience have launched a new range of add-on options for events managers looking to offer something new to clients in the run up to Xmas.

- Rock School Experience “Artist” and “Crew” T/baby T/polo shirts (with your logo if required)

- Limousine transfer to and from the venue for a complete rock star experience

- Themed fancy dress e.g. Grease, ABBA, 80s etc.

- Professional photo prints of the band(s) in full outfits

- Battle of the Bands prize, ideal for corporate team building events. This can be simple (gift vouchers/case of wine), funny (mounted gold discs with your band photo & name) or serious (concert tickets, ipods, etc.). Alternatively the prize can be supplied by you or your company

- “Win your instrument” packages for the best “Star of the Day” as voted by other team members. We have found our flat pack drum kits to be particularly popular in the past

- Web streaming of the final performances to colleagues based off-site
